Bible Translation

The Outpost Bible Church believes in the Bible translation philosophy known as formal equivalency. This is also known as literal translation, or a word-for-word translation. The idea behind formal equivalence is to render the text in the same form as the original. This can also mean using the same word order as the original language.

With that being the case, The Outpost Bible Church recommends the Legacy Standard Bible, English Standard Version, and the Christian Standard Bible.

These Bibles are great tool for inductive Bible study or sermon preparation. Their readability and reverent use of language also make them great devotional Bible.
